Lionel Richie is making a comeback with his Coming Home
Tour and the singer will be performing in
Atlanta on
November 15,
2006 at the Fox Theater.
The tour,
which begins in Detroit on October
27th, follows the release of his Coming Home
album on September 12 of this year.
The aging
singer says he isn’t interested in the pandemonium that
once accompanied his fame. “Will I be
happier with a hit record or a great copyright that
lasts forever?” he said. “I’ll take the
copyright.
But you only learn something like that after
you’ve been through the
pandemonium.”
Those who have
heard him sing say he sounds much like he did in 1976,
thirty years ago.
But the album boasts new beats that he hopes will
go the distance.
