The AFTER
FIVE Professional Networking Association will celebrate
eight years of creating community in the
Macon and middle
Georgia area at its
Annual Black Tie Awards Dinner and Gala on
Saturday,
February 9,
2008,
7:00pm., at the
Ramada
Plaza in downtown
Macon. This years’
theme is “Nurturing the Networking Experience” with live
entertainment, featuring
Atlanta base
R&B band 911.
AFTER FIVE
will honor its 2007 Business of the Year Recipient,
Adrian Harmon of Harmon Masonry and Construction
Company, Inc., for his significant contributions to the
Macon and middle
Georgia
community.
Mr. Harmon, a graduate of
Tuskegee
University and
candidate for an MBA at
Wesleyan
College, is
responsible for managing the masonry and commercial and
industrial construction business.

middle Georgia’s up and
coming young business leaders and his community
involvement speaks to his passion for helping others”,
said Win C. Roshell, AFTER FIVE’s Founder and
CEO. Mr. Harmon
organized a successful fundraiser to benefit the
Methodist Home for Children and Youth, Tubman Museum
Youth Camp and Tremont
Temple
Baptist
Church summer
youth and enrichment camp and other community
organizations, which include, Lambda Phi Chapter of
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. “We are so proud
and honored to recognize
Adrian, because
his commitment to assist local youth programs and
scholarships fits in very well with our mission of
providing a support system for high school students who
evident a need and show promise to excel.

AFTER FIVE
has grown its participation in the community over the
past eight years and is making a difference in middle
Georgia by helping
to build partnerships among businesses and connecting
the community through service and business
relationships.
The mission is realized through business
partnership programs such as AFTER FIVE’s Dr. D.T.
Walton, Jr., Share-A-Smile Dental Health Scholarships,
which is a collaboration between AFTER FIVE and Drs.
Clinton Watson, Nicole Jackson and Anika Parker of
Northside Family Dentistry and Orthodontic Care of
Georgia, Drs. Hector Bush and Sylvester Carlo. The scholarship
provides dental care and orthodontic services for
underprivileged high school students.
The
Executive Board for AFTER FIVE consists of eight
individuals that not only make each year’s gala a unique
and elegant event, but who also work year round to
insure that the organization’s vision continues to
thrive. The
2008 Chair for this year’s Black Tie Gala is Debra
Johnson.

AFTER FIVE
is a not-for-profit 501 (c)3 community based
organization designed to build a support system that
fosters networking with individuals, organizations,
families and businesses in the community for the
development and enrichment of the community. The awards gala
is a fundraiser for its youth and senior scholarship
programs.
