E L High School
Holds Fourth Commencement

E L High School is a two year old, non-traditional high school program which offers a second chance for students to earn their high school diploma. School founder, City Council Member and retired educator Elaine Lucas, developed the program to fill a tremendous need in this community. The huge drop out numbers in our community prompted Lucas to start the school January 2011 and to date, the school has graduated 98 with another 71 scheduled to graduate January 19, 2013. The January 19th ceremony will take place at St. Peters Baptist Church where Rev. Willie Finney is pastor. Special guest speakers and honored guests will salute the new high school graduates. The Al Lucas/Robert Brown Reception, in honor of the new graduates, will follow the graduation ceremony. The reception is sponsored by Kroger, Bubba's Mobile Tires, Dr. Thelma Dillard, Dr. James Beverly, and Sen. David Lucas and The Lucas Fund. For more information or to enroll, please call 478 257-6767.
