Candice Carroll Joins
Coliseum Health System as Chief Nursing Officer

Coliseum Health System is pleased to welcome Candice Carroll as its new Chief Nursing Officer. Carroll will be serving as the Chief Nursing Officer for Coliseum Medical Centers as well as Coliseum Health System. She brings with her an extensive background in Forensic Nursing, Chest Pain Center, Emergency Services, and Critical Care.

Most recently, Carroll served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. While in this role, Carrol's leadership was vital to the facility’s twice awarded Grade "A" from the Leapfrog Group, as well as recognition as a Joint Commission Top Quality Performer in 2011 and 2012. Some of her many accomplishments include obtaining Chest Pain Center Accreditation at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Virginia and developing a twelve bed cardiovascular step-down unit. She has served as a board member for the Council on Domestic Abuse (CODA), a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of victims of violent crimes. Candice has also been a committee member on the Sexual Assault Response Team(SART) and volunteered her time as a forensic nurse examiner. As a leader in the medical community, she organized the first Forensic Nursing Team in her area in 2012. Candice is also a recipient of The Daisy Award from the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), which recognizes "extraordinary nurses".

Candice maintains national certification in forensic nursing. She earned an Associates degree in Nursing from The Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA and a Baccalaureate of Nursing and a Master of Business Administration degree with a leadership focus from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
