Macon Realtor Seeks Election To Macon City Council

By Amanda Smith

Macon realtor Miriam Paris is seeking election to the Ward 4, Post 1 Macon City Council seat in the upcoming election on July 17, 2007.

A realtor with Coldwell Banker in Macon for the past 10 years, Miriam is a Macon native and is the daughter of Javors and Mary Lucas.  Javors has been the Vice-Chairman of the Macon Water Authority for the past 20+ years.

Miriam has already been serving the city of Macon as a city councilwoman in her Ward 4, Post 3 seat. Deciding that she wanted to serve a larger portion of the city, she decided to run for the citywide seat that she is currently seeking.  While in her Post 3 seat, Miriam served on the Public Safety Committee and the Community Resources Committee.

A member of the National Association of Realtors, Miriam sits on the Editorial Board of the 11th Hour entertainment newspaper and is a member of Berean Christian Center.

Miriam has a sincere desire to serve the citizens of Macon.  I have a genuine concern for the citizens and the city of Macon, she said in a recent interview.  Im a lifelong resident and I know the importance of public service.  I am accessible, responsive, and will provide leadership that listens.  I solicit your prayers during my campaign and your votes on July 17, 2007. She concluded.
