King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 (hence the title) march to the heartgates and make their stand against the GodKing, Xerxes and an army of 250,000 Persians.

Action fans rejoice!  300 has monsters, swordfights, martial arts, and battle sequences galore!  When Xerxes and his hordes threaten to overrun Sparta, Leonidas leads 300 of his best warriors into battle to defend their land.  300 against 250,000 seems like huge mismatch, but the warlike Spartans not only welcome the odds, they relish the challenge put before them.  The opening battle features a 30 second sequence showing King Leonidas fighting in slow motion that has to be seen to be believed!  The Persians attack the Spartans with Ninjas, Magicians, elephants, rhinos, and sheer numbers and still make no headway against the skillful, fierce, and battle-hardened warriors from Sparta.

The graphics make this movie a feast for the eyes, and the action is relentless from the first frame to the last reel.  300 is a must-see for fantasy and action fans alike.  The special effects are a breakthrough.  There's never been a movie with this unique look before now.  The trailers don't do justice to this testosterone-filled thrill ride!
