Bernice King was only 5 years old when her father died and at age 17, she was invited to speak at the United Nations in the absence of her mother.  Rev. King graduated from Douglass High School in Atlanta and obtained a degree in Psychology from Spelman College before going on to earn joint degrees in Theology and Law from Emory University.
