Juanita Baranco
Executive VP & Chief Operating
Officer of Baranco Automotive Group
Juanita Baranco already had a successful career
before becoming the Assistant Attorney General for the state of
Georgia. She and her husband co-founded the Baranco Automotive
Group in 1978, becoming one of the first African American owned car
dealerships in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Since then, the
Barancos have acquired several other dealerships with annual sales
reaching $100 million dollars. Juanita's extensive involvement
in education also led her to be appointed by Governor Zell Miller to
the Board of Regents in 1995, becoming the first African American
woman to chair that board.
