A
FedEx truck driver from Stockbridge is transporting a
half-million dollar load. Harry Curtis played the
Georgia Lottery instant game Jumbo Jumbo Bucks and won a
$500,000 prize.
The
prize comes at a perfect time for Curtis, who will
celebrate his 48th birthday on Valentine’s
Day.

sold the top prize ticket. Curtis scratched the ticket
in the store.
“I
could only say, ‘Wow,’ ” he said.
Curtis
has been married for 17 years and is the proud father of
an 8-year-old daughter. He plans to purchase a new home
with his winnings.
According
to Curtis, he has always been a lucky guy. He just won
$1,000 last week playing the instant game
Georgia’s
$500 Million Club.

returned over $9.7 billion to the state of
Georgia
for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for
specific educational programs including
Georgia’s
HOPE Scholarship Program and
Georgia
’s Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students
have received HOPE, and more than 860,000 4-year-olds
have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten
program.
