is celebrating a $52,000 Georgia
Lottery win. Sharon Keaton matched five
out of six winning
numbers plus
the Free Ball in the Oct. 18 Win for Life drawing and
won the game’s second prize of $1,000 a week for a
year.

in Hinesville, sold the Quik Pik ticket. Winning numbers
from the drawing were: 13-22-23-30-34-38 and the Free
Ball was 20.
Keaton
called the Georgia Lottery’s player information hot line
and discovered her win.
“I
went running through the house and screaming,” she
said.
Keaton,
who operates a home day care, is married with three
teenage children. Her husband is stationed at
Fort
Stewart
.
According
to Keaton, she is still deciding how to use her
winnings.
“I
don’t know yet,” she shared. “I’ll probably just save
it. Maybe get a second car.”
Win
for Life is a multi-state game played in
Georgia
, Virginia
and Kentucky
. As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from
Win for Life will benefit education in the state of
Georgia
.
Since
its first year, the Georgia
Lottery Corporation has returned over $10.3
billion to the state of
Georgia
for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for
specific educational programs including
Georgia
’s HOPE Scholarship
Program and Georgia
’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.1 million students have
received HOPE, and more than 940,000 4-year-olds have
attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten
program.
