A
lucky LaGrange man is celebrating a lottery win. George
King, a self-employed landscaper and tree cutter,
matched all five winning numbers in the Feb. 9 Fantasy 5
drawing and won the $678,996 top prize.

Point,
sold the lucky Quik Pik ticket. He checked his ticket
the following day while on his way to work. Winning
numbers from the Feb. 9 Fantasy 5 drawing were:
6-7-11-23-33.
“When
I saw those numbers, it was like I couldn’t do
anything,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it. I was just
shocked.
King
plans to buy new equipment for his business.
Georgia
Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets
receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The
retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time
Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize
ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize
winning tickets will share the bonus.
Circle
K Stores will receive a $14,000 retailer incentive
bonus.

Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.7
billion to the state of
Georgia
for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for
specific educational programs including
Georgia’s
HOPE Scholarship Program and
Georgia’s
Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students
have received HOPE, and more than 860,000 4-year-olds
have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten
program.
