The stork dropped off a lucky delivery for a soon-to-be father from Macon. Julius Sharpe played the Georgia Lottery instant game Jumbo Bucks Classic and won $50,000.

“I was in shock for a minute, but I was happy,” said Sharpe, 46.

According to Sharpe, who is expecting the birth of a daughter in November, his Georgia Lottery win comes at a great time.

“I’m going to get a new house, and then the baby’s coming,” he shared.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia ’s Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
