Marietta Man Wins $195,000

     Playing Fantasy 5

A Marietta man is celebrating a Fantasy 5 top prize win. Vincent Cavallaro matched all five winning numbers in the Fantasy 5 drawing on Nov. 12 and won $195,927.

The winning numbers for the Nov. 12 drawing were: 3-13-20-22-27. Cavallaro picked his winning combination using family birthdays.

According to Cavallaro, he watched the drawing and thought the numbers sounded familiar. “After I got over the shock, I started yelling,” he says.

Cavallaro, 50, works as a manufacturer of heating and air ductwork. He and his wife, Gloria, have three children and four grandchildren.

Cavallaro says he is enjoying his status as a Fantasy 5 winner, sharing the news with all of his family and friends. “I’ve been having a ball with it!”

According to Cavallaro, he will use his winnings to pay bills, invest and travel.

Smith & Young Country Market, located at 371 Pat Mell Rd. in Marietta , sold the lucky ticket. Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Smith & Young Country Market will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $6,000.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education.  All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia ’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia ’s Prekindergarten Program. More than 900,000 students have received HOPE Scholarships, and more than 700,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
