A retired school counselor from Albany is celebrating a Georgia Lottery win. Harry Johnson matched all five winning numbers in the Sept. 2 Fantasy 5 drawing and won $195,526.

Winning numbers for the Sept. 2 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 21-26-33-37-38. Johnson, who randomly selected the combination, purchased his top prize ticket at Kwickie/Flash #0205, 300 E. Oakridge Drive, Albany .

The 79-year-old discovered that he won when his daughter checked the draw results on the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s Web site.

Johnson is retired from the Dougherty County School System. He has two children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

“I’m going to do some remodeling on the house,” Johnson said of his winnings. “And I guess I’ll put some up for my grandchildren.”

Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 top prize tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Kwickie/Flash will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $6,000.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia ’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia ’s Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
