Wally’s of Thomson, 402 Main St. in Thomson, sold the lucky ticket. Lott said she bought the ticket because people were in the store talking about the Fantasy 5 top prize amount.

Winning numbers from the April 7 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 2-13-24-26-36. The second top prize ticket for the drawing was purchased in Atlanta .

“It was just a shock to me,” Lott said. “It still hasn’t sunk in, and it will probably take a while.”

With her winnings, Lott plans to remodel her home and pay bills.

“This happened at a great time in my life,” she said. “Winning is unbelievable.”

Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Wally’s of Thomson will receive a $4,000 retailer incentive bonus.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia ’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia ’s Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
