Using their mantra of “Balancing the Scales of Justice” as a guiding professional principle, Attorney Nefertara Clark Miller of Clark and Clark Law Group LLC is making a difference, one case at a time.
Miller makes up one half of the practice. The other half is her father John Clark, a seasoned practitioner of law with over forty years of experience. His daughter has another almost twenty years in law to her credit. The elder Clark has been the younger one’s inspiration since she was a young girl. But it wasn’t until she was walking across the campus of Savannah State University as a freshman that Miller definitively decided that she too wanted to practice law; especially estate planning. “We all have to leave here. Why not plan for that rather than leaving chaos,” she said alluding to what ensued following her grandmother’s passing because of a selfish third husband.

The level of sensitivity Miller possesses is rooted in her days as an Atlanta based public defender as well. In that role she handled over 1,000 cases and earned a reputation as a resolute defender of the accused. Her clients were the recipients of numerous not guilty verdicts, mistrials, and dismissals.
Miller is also a sought-after legal scholar and author that has written a law review article for Southern University Law Review and two chapters for the Lexis Nexis Practice Guide to Georgia Criminal Law. Her book “Things Only I Know” serves as a resource for those looking to preserve their deceased loved one’s personal wisdom, experiences, and important information.
Community minded is another of Miller’s strengths. She has been part of the effort as a private citizen to keep L.H. Williams Elementary School in the historic Pleasant Hill neighborhood and taught estate planning in the community. She’s also involved with several civic organizations.
Over 2,100 clients have retained Clark and Clark. The firm has a high success rate with nearly seven million dollars recovered on behalf of their clients. Miller says she doesn’t believe justice is blind. As a result, she employs her God, family and community focused personality to get them results. “Our goal is to leave clients in the best position possible, based on their facts and circumstances, after an encounter with the law,” she added.
Satisfied clients of Miller include Minister Taria Bryant of Macon and Clifford Richard Jewell, a retired former inspector for an Atlanta construction company with MARTA ties. Bryant and her husband decided on Miller to assist them with creating generational wealth opportunities for their four children following a sizable financial windfall.
Their desire was for their offspring to avoid probate court in the event of an untimely simultaneous demise of herself and her spouse. After their initial meeting with Miller both were convinced that they had chosen well. “She was very thorough and forward thinking. Jewel is a friend of John Clark, who referred him to Miller, but no nonsense when it comes to customer service.
